blog 7/26/13

Hi, leaders!  A special thank you to those who came out to the training last Saturday.  Strength comes to a team when you take the time to gather to be filled with purpose, and grow in excellence.  Congratulations to the coffee bar team for having the best turnout of team members for the training!  Their managers, Richard and Patty Hurtado, earned themselves a gift card for their diligence.

Backpack Outreach

What an awesome opportunity we have to show this community that we’re a church that cares!  Let’s do our part as leaders and set the example by getting involved with this outreach.  You can donate a backpack with supplies, give $15 for a pre-filled backpack, or volunteer to help at the event!  See the outreach table in the outdoor lobby this weekend to get plugged in.

Volunteer of the Week is…Christian Caudillo!!!

This young man is a fixture at Celebration, serving as a leader in both KIC and 2sm.  We value his heart to minister to his peers and the next generation.  In addition to what he does at the church, Christian runs a bible study at his school, and dreams of going to Hillsong College in Australia one day.  Christian, we thank you for all you do, and support your dreams!

Leaders always lead from the front.
With that in mind, we encourage you to come to the altar area during praise and worship.  We have attendees from all different church backgrounds, and even those that have never been to church.  These people are looking to you as a leader and learning what worship looks like.  Here at Celebration we believe in passionate, unashamed, heartfelt worship.  That means coming to the front, singing along, dancing, raising your hands, etc.  Your boldness causes others to be bold.  We understand that some teams have duties that prevent them from coming to the front during praise and worship, but if you are free then, come on down and let’s fill up that altar!
We love and value each and every one of you!   Let’s make this a great weekend!

Training!!!
It is finally here! Tomorrow morning is our fresno campus united volunteer training. This is going to be a great morning full of vision, food, and of course a whole lot of fun as we get together and train. this is going to make the Celebration Experience better for every person who steps foot on this campus. The truth is, if we make this experience better then more people can come to the saving knowledge of Jesus. When someone gets saved on a weekend God puts that on your tab as a volunteer. When we get I think we are going to be surprised at how many people have been impacted by the things we will implement this weekend in training. Remember to keep eternity in mind when you do whatever you do here on campus.

God encounter is coming and this is going to be a spectacular event! I know we have all heard Glenn Berteau and his flair that is unforgettable, but he is not the only one who will be here! Dr. Dave Martin is going to be preaching Sunday night! This means double up! Pastor believes in these unplugged moments! These moments where we can take a little extra time and let the Holy Spirit move are priceless. Let me put it to you this way if someone said that we were going to have a money blowing machine loaded with $100 bills that we turned on at the beginning of both services would you come? Better yet would you bring someone with you who was struggling to pay their bills? This is what I'm talking about, put value on these services, pastor has quoted the bible and said that what isn't valuable to you will not produce anything in your life. The reverse is true as well what you value WILL produce in your life. Come out and be a part!

Here is a little teaser for Dr. Dave Martin:

Volunteer of the week is Bryan Espinosa!

Bryan faithfully serves as an usher on Sunday mornings. He is someone who overcomes any obstacle and is still here early to serve. He is places such a value on the word of God that even though he serves as an usher in one service he will take the time to unplug and sit in another service front and center to make sure he doesn't miss a thing. He truly serves with a cheerful heart and we are so grateful! Thanks Bryan.

Random fact: Did you know that today there are free slurpees?

Summer is in full swing and that means its time to get plugged into a C-group! With all of the fun of summer don't miss out on this opportunity to get connected with other people in the body. As leaders remember that these groups aren't just for you to have fun and socialize, but they are an opportunity for you to fulfill your God given design.
"Go then and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them [a]into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,"
(Matt 28:19)
This is a mandate for us as believers to not just tell people about Jesus but to help teach them how to live as a believer. Two generations come together when you take the time to pour your self into a new believer. So lets amp it up and get some more groups going!

Kic fit is this Saturday! Don't miss out on this exciting opportunity to get your kids pumped up on fitness.
