Does anybody need some extra STRENGTH?! Pastor Randy gave us a short message in prayer today that you are going to want to hear! We believe this is a right now word not only for the church, but also for us individually. Please take ten minutes to listen to this short, but life changing message.

Get over it series continues

Get over it! We will be continuing in our “Get over it” series this weekend. It has been an empowering and transformational teaching. Make sure to invite your family and friends, Don’t let anybody miss out on this awesome word this weekend.

Danny has recently joined our security team and has been making a difference in the lives of many people. He has a contagious smile that really puts you at ease when you’re talking with him. Danny Thank you for your love and commitment to people! 

Volunteer Orientation

If you just started serving or know someone who would like to serve make sure to get out to Volunteer orientation. We will be sharing why we serve and the expectations and benefits of serving in Gods house. Catching the vision of serving is key for every volunteer. We’ll be starting directly after our 11:30 service and we will have refreshments available.

Volunteer of the week

He’s a G42 alumni, C-group leader, production volunteer and he’s in the business of saving lives, the list goes on and on..You may be wondering who is this guy? Charles Montoya is the name and he is the volunteer of the week! Thank you Charles for your commitment and passion for people and the excellence you bring to Celebration Church!

C-groups

C-groups!! No matter what you like to do C-groups are for you. We have over 40 groups to choose from and if you still don’t find the perfect fit you can start your own! This is a great way to fill your summer with fun activities and great people. Stop by our table at the outdoor lobby and get in on the fun today!

 C20 basketball tourney

Lace up your kicks and put your game face on! C20 is hosting a 3 on 3 basketball tournament on  Saturday May 25^th, ages 16 & up. The cost per player is $10. There will be a live DJ, prize giveaways and a cash prize for the winner of the tournament! Start time will be @ 8:00 am. For more information check out the C20 table.

Welcome to Fresno in the springtime! 

The forecast for Sunday is a cool 100 degrees so come on out to the early service if you're not serving this weekend! Pastor Cherie is speaking, we will have snow cones after service, and lots of other great elements for Mother's Day weekend.  

C-Groups

As you know we've had a couple Wednesday night Healing School sessions that have been amazing. It's been such a great time getting God's truth about healing in our life. For the rest of the summer we are now encouraging everyone to get involved in C-Groups. If you haven't plugged into a C-Groups yet, then you need to dive in! We have too much going on to include in this blog, so just stop by the table this weekend and check out one of the 35 groups that we have going.

If you don't see something you want to be a part of, start your own! It's simple-- just figure out what you love to do, and then let others join in! If you are passionate about personal or spiritual development, start a resource group and let others take the journey with you. If you just want to have fun, start an activity group. If you want to go make a difference in this community, start an outreach group and rally people for the cause. This is how we connect and grow as a body of believers. This is what the Bible calls the church to be.

C-20 Basketball Tournament
It's is coming up, so if you like to ball it up, then go sign up at the table out in the lobby.  All the details are at the table so stop by and get the skinny. 

Volunteer of the Week is....Morgan Ogletree!!! 

Morgan doesn't just faithfully serves at the outreach table on the weekends; she is truly passionate about touching lives and meeting needs in the community.  She's personally gone on a number of Celebration sponsored outreaches, and was recently accepted to the L.A. Dream Center internship program!  She'll be leaving us to go to the Dream Center this summer, and we're so excited for what God has in store for her there.  We love you, Morgan!

Party in the Park!!

         El Cinco de Mayo esta Aqui! Nosotros vamos a hacer una fiesta! Okay okay, I wont speak in spanish the whole time but I wanted to formally invite you and your family to our party in the park May 5th from 4 to 7pm at Woodward Park. We have a variety of Food, sports, face painting, and for those of you who like to spice things up a bit, we have salsa dancing! Come hang out with us and dance the night away! See you there!

Healing School

       Last night, God showed up in a miraculous way! Thank you Pastor Cherie for bringing truth to us and reminding us that we don't have to walk in sickness but we can walk in health because we now know it is God's will for us to be healed! If you missed last night, DONT WORRY! Next Wednesday, May 8th, we have our last healing class at the Clovis campus at 7pm. Pastor Randy is adamant that EVERYONE should be there because this truth is life changing, you won't want to miss it. Make plans to be there!

Volunteer of the Week
      Though new on our team, Vanessa Simpson reflects the heart of a true leader! Dedicating herself to serving every weekend in KIC, she demonstates her love for the next generation by going that extra mile in everything she does! Her integrity shows through her servants heart...Thank you Vanessa for being a part of our team, we are so grateful to have you!!

C-groups:

     For those of you who have already joined a Cgroup or are leading one, you can testify as to how much fun they truly are! There are no boundaries with the level of fun you have with whatever group you decide to join! Cgroups are groups that were created as off campus get-togethers with people who share the same desire of a certain something as you do whether it be cooking, reading, coffee dates, sports, feeding the homeless, you name it! If you haven't gotten connected with a group yet, I encourage you to! Or if you cant find a group you're interested in but have one in mind that you'd like to start, come by our Cgroups table this weekend and get connected!

     Founder of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference, Samuel Rodriguez has made an impact in our nation! He has spoken in the White House and Congressional Meetings while serving as Senior Pastor of New Season Christian Worship Center in Sacramento, California! We have the privilege of hearing him bring a "right now" word to our church on June 2nd!! Invite your friends and family because this is a night you do NOT want to miss!

Wasn't that amazing! As a PRAYER TARGET this week we are going to be praying against fear in our own lives, and the lives that are a part of this movement. NO FEAR HERE!


In other news:

Last night we had 68 people get baptized and make a public declaration of their faith; what an amazing sight to see! Thank you for working so hard, week after week to see people give their lives to Christ!

Healing School: Next week class starts in clovis! Healing school will rock your world, spirit soul and body. Make sure to come and expect God to do big things in your life!

Party in the Park: In just two weekends we will be having a fiesta to remember! Food, friends, sports, face painting, salsa dancing and don't forget the PINATA! Bring the family and let's party!

Jeff and Keisha Stamps!

Jeff leads 8:30 parking and Keisha is involved with the ushering team. This is just their official titles. Jeff and Keisha do so much more. Jeff is constantly ready and willing to come to the rescue when the church has issues with our AC systems. He has improved the experience of every person that walks onto our campus at our 8:30 service, with the most welcoming smile and the warmest handshake. Keisha serves faithfully on our ushering team and is always ready to lend a helping hand and a warm smile. Thanks Jeff and Keisha for all you do!

Your Storm Has an Expiration Date! 

 

That was the word Andrew Nava released last weekend.  Let’s not forget that.  No matter what you’re facing, all you need to do is stay unwavering in your faith in God as your rescuer, believing His Word, and your issue is going to be defeated while you’re left standing victorious.
 

Pool Party Time!

 

Water baptisms are this coming Wednesday on the Clovis campus at 7pm. Being baptized is really about taking your relationship with Christ to a deeper level.  You’re going from an inward decision to follow Christ, to making an outward declaration of what you believe.  If you would like to be baptized, you can still sign-up this weekend.  Otherwise, come on out and celebrate the miracle of a transformed life with your Celebration family.

Prayer Target

A team of G42 students and staff will be leaving this Sunday to go on a missions trip to Honduras.  Agree with us in prayer for safe travels, salvations, and miracles!

Volunteer of the Week is….Celeste Baquera!

Celeste is passionate about serving the people of this church, and helping see them thrive.  She first began by volunteering in the bookstore, and now serves on the prayer team.  She is also the leader of the Ages 30-49 Singles C-Group.  Thank you, Celeste, for giving your time to investing in others.  We love you!

What an amazing weekend we just experienced, wasn't it?! That was definitely a game changer for all of us! If you missed it, Pastor Randy showed us this video that we believe is a right now word for us. He encouraged us to listen to this message from John Kilpatrick as much as possible, and really get ahold of everything that God has for our lives. Water Baptisms

You are all officially invited to our Celebration POOL PARTY! We will be having water baptisms on Wednesday, April 24th, at 7pm on the Clovis campus. This is a time where we can all come together and celebrate what God is doing in the lives of all the people who made the decision to give their life to Jesus Christ! If you haven't been baptized and want to be, you can sign up at the connection tables in the lobby.

Prayer Target

This week's prayer target is for Rick Warren, the founder and Senior Pastor of Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, California. Recently Pastor Warren and his family suffered the tragic loss of his son Matthew, who was 27 years old. For anyone who's ever experienced the loss of a loved one, you can understand what this family is going through. So let’s all pray that they will have peace in their spirit, soul, and body, and that they'll be comforted during this hard time.

Volunteer of the Week is…Michelle Marlette!

A G42 graduate, Michelle has sown countless hours into this ministry, especially into the children of this church.  Michelle serves with joy and has a heart of excellence.  We value her passion to teach the next generation.  Thank you, Michelle, for all you do!!
